Fans of the anime series ‘Ao Haru Ride’ have been waiting for a sequel to Kou and Futaba’s narrative for more than five years.
“Ao Haru Ride,” also known as “Blue Spring Ride,” is based on a Japanese shjo manga series by Io Sakisaka. In 2014, Production I.G. published an anime version of the novel.
There may possibly be more to come from this anime series.
This is all we know thus far.
Is There a Second Season of ‘Ao Haru Ride’ in the Works?
Production I.G. has yet to renew the critically praised shoujo anime for a second season, despite widespread demand.
Season 2 hasn’t been renewed, but some fans are still keeping their fingers crossed that the show will be picked up for a third season.
If there isn’t any fresh content to advertise, then the renewal may be delayed.
There are a number of ways in which anime series are utilised to sell and promote manga or light book series. It’s a straightforward equation. When an anime series becomes successful, manga sales increase as well.
The manga and novel on which the programme is based stopped publication in 2015, despite the fact that they are still many chapters to cover in season 2. Because of this, it’s possible that the series won’t be revived.
Many fans have expressed their desire for the programme to return after a disappointing ending to its first season. Inconveniently, Production I.G. has not responded to their call.
When Can We Expect the Second Season of ‘Ao Haru Ride’?
Season 2 of the anime series has yet to be renewed, therefore a release date is not yet known.
Production I.G. still hasn’t picked up the anime series, seven years after it first aired.
In July 2014, the anime series premiered, yet it has yet to receive a renewal, leading us to suspect that the show will not be returning.
In the end, there’s always hope!
Older anime shows have been revived in the past after being taken over by another studio.
‘Ao Haru Ride’ season 2 may become a reality if enough people sign a petition and show their support.
‘Ao Haru Ride’ Season 2 Plot: What’s Happening?
Futaba Yoshioka and Kou Mabuchi are the protagonists of “Ao Haru Ride.”
In high school, they were infatuated with one other.
In spite of this, they both had personal challenges that were preventing them from experiencing happiness and a healthy partnership.
If the anime series is revived for a second season, there is still enough of stuff to cover.
A total of thirteen volumes were released between 2011 and 2015. Only the first four manga volumes were covered in the 13-episode anime adaptation (till Chapter 14).
